DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT

History of the department. The Department of Management is the leading department of the Faculty of Management, Hotel and Restaurant Business and Tourism and trains specialists in the relevant educational, professional and educational programs at the following levels of education: "Bachelor", "Master" and "Doctor of Philosophy".

The Department of Management was established in 2002, almost immediately after the establishment of the International Humanities University. Mykola Pavlovych Kovalenko, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, was the first and long-term head of the department. Since September 1, 2017, the head of the department is Doctor of Economics, Professor Tetyana Vadymivna Derkach.
Scientific research work. Scientific topics on which the department works: "Integration mechanisms of formation and functioning of territorial socio-economic systems" U 0117U003792 and "Coastal regions in the world economy and globalization" U 0117U005588.

The Department of Management traditionally holds an International Scientific and Practical Conference "Globalization: the ratio of international
and national economic interests. " Partners of the department are the Institute of World Economy and Politics of the Academy of Social Sciences of the People's Republic of China, Technical Educational Institute of Western Macedonia (Greece), Higher School of Economics, Wroclaw, Belarusian State University, Comrat State University (Moldova), West Kazakhstan Agrarian University Zhangir Khan (Kazakhstan).

Every year in September the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Prospects for Effective Management Solutions in Business and Projects" is organized, which is traditionally attended by experienced and young scientists and management practitioners from many countries (https://bit.ly/3rWmlzY).
Teachers of the department have publications in scientific journals included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine and in periodicals that are included in scientometric databases recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science, in particular Scopus or Web of Science Core Collection.

Professor Derkach TV is the chairman, and professor Martyniuk OA member of the editorial board of the journal "Scientific Bulletin of the International Humanities University. Economics and Management Series "(category" B ").
Professor Goncharuk AG is the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Journal of Applied Management and Investments (http://www.jami.org.ua), a member of the editorial boards of foreign journals Polish Journal of Management Sciences and Energy Policy Journal, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, a member of the scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, an expert from Ukraine in the Horizon2020 program committee, as well as an observer of management committees and a member of working groups in seven international research projects funded by the European Commission (https://mgu.edu.ua/international-projects).

For many years, the Department of Management has been conducting a scientific and methodological seminar: "Modern problems of economics and management."
An important area of work of the department is the training of scientific personnel. Today under the guidance of professors Goncharuk AG, Derkach TV, Martyniuk OA a number of dissertation researches of third-level students of the "Doctor of Philosophy" are being prepared.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department includes 4 doctors of sciences, 4 candidates of sciences and 2 teachers. Teachers of the department conduct all necessary types of classes, practical and theoretical training, methodological and educational work aimed at the realization of students' abilities, achievement of professional competencies, preparation for active professional and creative activities. The Department of Management holds organizational events for the participation of teachers, students in institute, university, regional, national and international scientific and technical conferences, round tables, webinars, competitions and more.

Teachers of the department have organized and managed the work of scientific student groups, such as "Global Perspective: Regions, Countries, Markets", "Business Engineering Studio", "Modern Management Problems".
